Ginsbury to supply embedded computing solutions from Toradex

Embedded computing solutions will provide synergy for customers and suppliers

Rochester, UK, 23rd October 2014. Displays specialist Ginsbury has announced a partnership agreement  with Toradex, the Swiss based embedded computing solutions supplier, to support and supply Toradex's extensive range of embedded computer modules. Toradex designs, manufactures and supports a comprehensive range of embedded computer modules including single board computers and computer on modules with support from semiconductor partners ARM, Intel, Freescale, Marvell and NVIDIA.

Toradex also offers a range of customised SBCs with different performance levels, integrated features and price points. Toradex's Computer On Module (COM) coupled with a baseboard offers an equivalent solution to that of traditional SBCs. The COM approach separates the complex microprocessor system from the relatively simple I/O system and thus offers flexibility to customise the baseboard based on the feature and size requirements of the end-product. This customisable  combination provides a desirable alternative to SBCs in developing embedded products due to a high degree of flexibility and scalability. Toradex's embedded computing solutions offer in house support for Windows Embedded Compact and Linux operating systems, and Android and eCos through partners.
