The merger of Acer Displays and Unipac at the end of 2001 has led to the creation of the second largest LCD manufacturer in the world.

AU Optronics now boast an LCD range which starts at 1.5" for use in Digital Cameras and Camcorders and goes through to a 20.1" panel with UXGA (1600 x 1200) resolution.
