Ginsbury Electronics has recently launched a new range of enclosed TFT LCD monitors which meet IP67 for sealing against dust and fluids. Already these monitors have been used in the following applications:

Marine Navigation, A.T.M.s, Transport, Advertising and Public Information.

A variety of panel Size options are available from 10.4" to 20" with resolutions ranging from 640 x 480 to 1280 x 1024. All of the monitors contain a high integral controller card, which provides direct connection to a PC's analogue output or connection of a video input (PAL, NTSC, SECAM).

The TFT displays used are all industrial grade panels with wide viewing angles and high light output. Sunlight readable backlights are also available as an option, which can give up to 1500cd/sqm light output. Another option, which can be specified, is an integral touchscreen utilizing either infra red, capacitive, resistive or surface acoustic wave technologies dependent upon the application requirements.

The monitor housings are constructed from milled; chromated aluminum wit costume paint finishes available as an option. The enclosures are sealed with "O" ring gaskets and sealed cable glands or optional sealed connectors.

The monitors can run from either a separate mains power supply or an internal DC-DC converter. This allows operation from a wide input voltage range of 18-32 Vdc.
