The new MD Series of DC-AC inverters from Endicott Research Group (ERG) Inc. which are

distributed in the UK by Ginsbury Electronics, power up to 16 CCF tubes with combined

power from 10 to 60 watts. Only 17mm high, the MD Series inverters feature integrated input

and output connectors and vacuum-encapsulated transformers for increased reliability.

These high-efficiency inverters can be easily dimmed using an external analogue control

signal that interfaces with an onboard pulse width modulator (PWM). MD Series inverters can

reliably dim to less than 0.5% duty cycle resulting in an electrical dimming ratio of <200:1.

Depending upon the attached backlight assembly, optical dimming ratios of <1000:1 can be

achieved.

MD Series units are powered by a regulated 1V DC source with an operating temperature of

0º to +50º C (0º to +70º C absolute maximum). The five mounting holes on each module

make installation straightforward and simple, and mating locking input and output wiring

harnesses are available.
