Ginsbury Electronics offers the complete range of "High Brightness Backlights" for use with LCD's.

Regular colour LCD's are not bright enough to be visible in outdoor environments especially under direct sunlight. Landmark Technology produces very high brightness backlights and LCD modules that are typically 10 to 20 times brighter than regular LCD screens in notebook computers.

New semi-ruggedized 10.4" backlights for NEC and Sharp LCDs!
By popular demand...
Landmark has developed two new backlights to better suit your LCD backlighting needs! These backlights can be installed by the customer, in other words, there is no need to send us the LCD for integration! Also, they are semi-ruggedized backlights which are suitable for harsher applications such as outdoor usage in a moving vehicle etc.
For NEC’s NL6448CC33-30 extended temperature range 10.4" LCD, Landmark has developed the BK106A high efficiency semi-ruggedized backlight.
Characteristics:
1). Luminance is 10,600 Cd/m2 linearly polarized at 135 degrees. 2). Backlight power is 19 Watts. 3). The LCD luminance with BK106A backlight installed is 1250 CD/m2. 4). Uniformity is 20% or better.
For Sharp’s LQ104V1DC31 high temperature 10.4" LCD, Landmark has developed the BK103A high efficiency semi-ruggedized backlight.
Characteristics:
1). Luminance is 10,600 CD/m2 linearly polarized at 45 degrees. 2). Backlight power is 19 Watts. 3). The LCD luminance with BK103A backlight installed is 1500 CD/m2. 4). Uniformity is 20% or better.
New additions to some of our LCD module families…
LM109A for Sharp’s 8.4" LQ084V1DG21
Our new 8.4" sunlight readable LCD module has just been released from design and engineering and is expected to be in production the end of May. The LM109A has a projected brightness of 900 nits.
Sharp’s New 12" LQ121S1DG21
Landmark is also designing a new 12" sunlight readable LCD module for Sharp’s new LQ121S1DG21. This module will have a projected brightness of 1450 Nits and uniformity of 20% or better.
Landmark has developed two new inverter models that are sure to impress you with their compact size and capabilities! The BI224A is suited for backlights or backlight modules in the 14" to 15" range. The new features are as follows: 1). The on/off control is TTL compatible with (0 to 5v). 2). There is an option to accept external PWM signal. 3). The two backlight connectors are 15 pin and are spaciously separated to handle high voltages. For our larger units, we have developed the BI320A inverter. This inverter will successfully power up 18" to 20" LCD backlights and modules! The new features are as follows: 1). The on/off control is TTL compatible with (0 to 5v). 2). There is an option to accept external PWM signal. 3). The two backlight connectors are 15 pin and are spaciously separated to handle high voltages. AVAILABLE THE END OF MAY!
Landmark has reviewed other products for development and are expected to be released within the next quarter. Here are just a few to be developed: The Hitachi 12" TX31D27VC1CAB LCD is currently in review. Engineering has released a part number for development purposes, LM110A. Pricing will be available through the Marketing & Sales office upon final release. The Hitachi 14" TX36D11VC1CAA LCD is also currently in review. The engineering part number is LM111A.
